This course is designed to provide the vocational nursing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience related to the performance of those skills necessary for patient care. Skills are taught in a progression of the simple to the complex. Time is provided for the student to practice and perform a return demonstration of most of the learned skills in the laboratory

This is a two-part course in human anatomy and physiology that is designed to give a clear understanding of the normal body as a basis for understanding variations from normal and to provide a basis for understanding the disease processes encountered in nursing. This course demonstrates a transition from simple to complex as related to concepts and systems.
