
This course introduces the student to the principles of normal nutrition in health, including essential nutrients and dietary planning for maintaining a proper nutritional state. Principles of therapeutic nutrition are also introduced.

This is a two-part course in human anatomy and physiology t hat is designed to give a clear understanding of the normal body as a basis for understanding variations from normal and to provide a basis for understanding diseases processes encountered in nursing. The course demonstrates a transition from simple to complex as related to concepts and systems.

This course is designed to provide the vocational nursing students with both theoretical knowledgeandpracticalexperiencerelatedtotheperformanceofthoseskillsnecessary for patient care. Skills are taught in a progression of the simple to the complex. Time is provided for the student to practice and perform a return demonstration of most of the learned skills in the laboratory
